SafeSpotEngine uses the minimum information needed to verify accounts, calculate a private midpoint, rank venues, complete payments, and improve the product.
Identity and payments
Stripe handles payment card data and identity document images. SafeSpotEngine stores payment and verification status, not full card numbers or identity document images.
Locations and venue searches
Coordinates are sent to the SafeSpotEngine API for midpoint and venue research. One person's coordinates are never returned to the other person. Protected product screens are blocked from session replay.
Product analytics
PostHog receives page views, named product events, coarse technical context, and privacy-masked landing-page replays. Form values, protected account screens, network bodies, headers, and the WebGL canvas are not recorded.
