SafeSpot

For every “we should meet”

Make meeting up feel easy.

Even when you already know each other, finding a time and a place can take too much back and forth. SafeSpot brings everyone’s interests, private starting points, and public-place options into one plan you choose together.

  • Agree on the time
  • Keep your start private
  • Choose the place together
A place chosen together.Starting points stay private.

The moment you meet

A good place makes the whole plan feel lighter.

For the friend across town. The date you’re nervous about. The people you see all the time but never quite manage to gather. A thoughtful place gives everyone an easier start.

How it works

From ‘we should meet’ to a plan you both chose.

Send an invite, agree on the time, and let everyone add what they enjoy. SafeSpot suggests a short list of practical public places; each person chooses for themselves.

  1. Make the invitation

Send one link to a friend, a date, or a group. Suggest a time and the kind of meetup — coffee, dinner, or something to do together.

  2. Agree before you search

Everyone accepts the time or suggests another, then privately adds their interests and starting point. The other people do not see that starting point.

  3. Pick one place together

When the time is agreed, you see up to three venue options with the available evidence. Each person picks independently; matching choices confirm the place.

Everyone gets a say

An invitation, not an obligation.

People can suggest a different time. The venue search begins only after everyone agrees. Accepting an invite is free; only the person who starts a successful search pays.

Change your mind freely

Everyone picks from the shortlist independently, and you can all change your minds as often as you like. When your choices match, that's the place.

Keep the plan through the meetup

Keep the confirmed place and time in one view. You can choose to share a temporary live-location link with someone you trust, then check in at the venue. Confirmed meets earn points toward another venue search.

Where your interests meet

Useful even when you already know each other.

Knowing someone does not settle the time, the travel, or the place. Your shared interests guide the search; private starting points help keep the trip sensible for everyone.

You both love the same thing

Coffee and coffee

Cafés can rise to the top of the shortlist, with the available venue evidence beside each option.

You're close enough

Films and photography

A cinema or gallery may fit both of you better than another round of ‘you decide.’

You've nothing in common yet

First time meeting

The search can start with neutral public places such as cafés, bookshops, or museums.

Nobody has to hand over their address.

Everyone privately says where they're setting off from, and the places come back somewhere sensible for all of you. Your starting point is never shown to anyone you invite, and theirs is never shown to you.

Nothing shared

Try the shortlist

The right place changes with the people and the plan.

Try different interests and a different time of day. Watch the suggestions change, and see why an option rises or drops away. This sample uses fictional venues; your real shortlist is built for your meeting.

  • Shared interests shape what feels worth going to.
  • Practical travel matters for everyone invited.
  • Available evidence sits beside each suggestion.

Venue names and readings are illustrative. Eligibility, weighted evidence coverage, and interest-first ordering mirror the production engine. Evidence supports a decision; it cannot guarantee safety.

Quietly checked

You choose the place with more to go on.

SafeSpot filters out unsuitable place types and brings together the venue information it can verify. You see the reasons behind each suggestion and where evidence is missing. Check current hours and access directly with the venue before you leave.

01

A place to actually meet

The shortlist is for public venues with a real entrance, not a road, postcode, or private address.

02

A sensible way there

Travel practicality and available route evidence help keep the journey reasonable for each person.

03

Reasons you can see

Each option shows the available venue evidence. Missing or stale readings stay marked as unknown.

Filtered out

  • Car parks, petrol stations, and private premises
  • Nightclubs, at any hour
  • Roads and postcodes without a venue door
  • Bars after the configured local-hour cutoff
  • Parks during configured evening and early-hours windows

Considered when available

  • Area and incident evidence
  • Lighting, public transport, and the route to the door
  • Proximity to help and timestamped foot traffic

Fresh evidence below a configured floor can rule a place out. No score guarantees anyone's safety; confirm current hours and access with the venue before you leave.
